Asian Wedding Photographer London
Asian weddings are unlike any other celebration. They are multi-day, multi-ceremony events — each with their own rituals, outfits, lighting conditions, and emotional weight. A Mehendi night feels completely different from a Baraat procession, which feels completely different from a Vidai. Photographing all of it well takes preparation, cultural understanding, and a calm presence that doesn’t disrupt the flow of the day.
We are Florian Weddings — a husband and wife photography team based in London with over 13 years of experience photographing weddings across the UK and beyond. Asian weddings make up a significant part of our work, and they are some of our most cherished commissions.
What We Cover
Asian weddings often span two, three, or even four days. We work across the full celebration — not just the main ceremony. Depending on your traditions, coverage can include:
Mehendi / Mehndi night — the intimate gathering, the henna artist at work, candlelit portraits.
Haldi ceremony — joyful, chaotic, and full of genuine laughter.
Baraat / Barat — the groom’s procession, dancing, dhol drums, anticipation.
Main ceremony — the vows, the rituals, the exchange, the moment everything becomes real.
Reception and first dances — low light, speeches, the room at full energy.
Vidai — one of the most emotionally charged moments of any wedding day.
Every family is different. We take time before your wedding to understand your specific order of events, your priorities, and the moments your family will want to see in the album for generations.
Our Approach
Asian weddings demand photographers who can read a room. Ceremonies move quickly. Rituals unfold simultaneously across the venue. Family formals can involve 50 people or more. We navigate all of this without causing disruption, without missing a beat, and without making your guests feel like they are being herded.
Our style is natural and candid — we are not directing every shot or posing every grouping. We are documenting your day as it happens, with care and skill. That said, we know when to step in and when to step back. A Vidai moment calls for quiet, patient observation. A Baraat calls for energy and anticipation.
We shoot with professional cameras and lenses built for low light — banquet hall photography at 9pm is very different from a countryside ceremony at noon, and our equipment handles both.
London Venues We’ve Worked At
London has some of the finest venues in the country for Asian weddings. We have photographed at banqueting halls, luxury hotels, heritage buildings, and private estates across the city. If your venue is not one we have visited before, we arrive early for a walk-through — familiarity with a space makes a real difference to the quality of the photography.
Why Couples Choose Us
You are trusting us with some of the most important days of your family’s life. We understand that. We are professional, discreet, and genuinely invested in getting it right. Our couples tell us that working with us felt relaxed and natural — and that when their photos arrived, they saw moments they had forgotten to notice on the day itself.
We are based in London but work across the UK and internationally. If you are planning a destination Asian wedding, we would love to hear about it.
