A Luxury Destination Wedding

There are weddings you photograph, and there are weddings you get to live alongside for a whole day and Andrei and Roxana's was firmly the second kind. I'm Florian, a destination wedding photographer, and this summer I had the joy of documenting their luxury destination wedding at Ramatuelle resort in Ploiești, Romania.

It was a beautiful summer's day, warm and bright from the very first hour, and Ramatuelle one of Romania's most striking luxury wedding venues — looked every bit the part. Andrei and Roxana got ready at the venue itself, and when they were finally dressed and ready, they looked absolutely amazing. There's a particular calm to getting ready on-site at a destination wedding; nobody is rushing across town, and the morning unfolds gently, full of anticipation and quiet excitement.

What made the day so rich was that Andrei and Roxana celebrated three distinct moments. First came the civil ceremony, intimate and full of meaning. Then a beautiful church wedding, steeped in tradition and emotion. And finally the reception, where the whole celebration opened up. As a destination wedding photographer, days like this are a gift each ceremony has its own light, its own mood, and its own story to tell, and weaving them into a single narrative is exactly what I love to do.

The reception at Ramatuelle was pure energy. Feelings Band performed, and they were genuinely incredible; the kind of live music that pulls every single guest onto the dance floor and keeps them there. The whole evening was so much fun, full of laughter, dancing and the easy happiness that comes when a couple is surrounded by everyone they love. It was the perfect ending to a luxury destination wedding in Romania.
