Some couples travel across the world for their wedding day, and Rose and John did exactly that flying in from Canada to marry at one of London's most iconic addresses. I'm Florian, a London wedding photographer with an editorial, story-led approach, and it was an absolute privilege to document their intimate luxury wedding at The Dorchester Hotel.
It was a beautiful summer's day, and The Dorchester a byword for luxury on Park Lane was the perfect setting for an intimate celebration. There's something special about a smaller wedding in a grand space; the elegance of the venue frames the day, but the focus stays exactly where it should be, on the couple and the handful of people who matter most to them. Rose and John looked wonderful, relaxed and completely present in every moment.
Intimate weddings give me room to work the way I love most unhurried, observant, and attentive to the details that a larger day can swallow up. As an editorial wedding photographer, I'm always looking for the quiet, in-between moments alongside the polished ones: a shared glance, a hand held a little tighter, the soft London light moving through The Dorchester's beautiful interiors. With fewer guests and more space to breathe, every one of those moments had room to land.
The reception was so much fun. An intimate guest list doesn't mean a quiet party if anything, the warmth was turned all the way up, every person in the room genuinely close to Rose and John. The celebration was relaxed, joyful and full of laughter, the perfect close to a luxury wedding at The Dorchester and a day worth crossing an ocean for.
