I'm Florian, a UK-based wedding photographer working across Europe and worldwide. For fourteen years I've been photographing weddings that take place somewhere other than home: a hotel above the Côte d'Azur, a resort on the Romanian coast, a country estate in Wicklow.
Destination weddings ask more of a photographer than a local booking does. Longer days, unfamiliar light, ceremonies that unfold across two or three days rather than one, and no possibility of a second attempt. What follows is how I work, what's included, and what it costs.

What's included
My destination package starts from £5,000 and covers one to three days of photography, with all travel included in that figure.
That means flights, accommodation, ground transport, and insurance are already accounted for. The number I quote is the number you pay. There is no second invoice after the wedding for expenses you weren't expecting.

For weddings running beyond three days, or in destinations outside Europe, I'll quote individually. Tell me the dates and the location and I'll come back with a full figure.
How travel actually works
You share the venue address and the running order. I handle the rest.
Flights, accommodation, transfers, permits, insurance certificates and equipment logistics are arranged and confirmed well before your wedding date. You should never be chasing your photographer's paperwork in the fortnight before you marry, and with me you won't be.
I arrive ahead of the wedding day rather than on the morning of it. That gives me time to walk the venue, understand where the light falls, and identify the portrait locations that aren't obvious from a website. It's the single biggest difference between photography that looks considered and photography that looks improvised.

Multi-day and multicultural celebrations
Destination weddings are rarely a single day. Welcome dinners, rehearsal evenings, morning-after brunches, and in many cases a full sequence of cultural ceremonies.
I photograph multi-day celebrations regularly, including Asian and multicultural weddings with Mehndi, Sangeet and Baraat ceremonies alongside the main day. The work is to hold a single visual thread across events that look and feel completely different from one another, so what you end up with reads as one story rather than three separate galleries.

A deliberately limited calendar
I take on a small number of destination weddings each year. That's a choice, not a constraint.
It means the couple who books a three-day wedding in Italy gets my attention from the first enquiry through to the final album, without being handed to an associate or slotted between two other commissions that month. It also means dates go early, particularly between May and September.
How to book
Send me your date, your destination, and a sense of what you're planning. I'll confirm availability and come back with a full quote, usually within 48 hours.
If it looks like a fit, we'll speak properly, either on a call or in person if you're in London. Bookings are confirmed with a 25% retainer, with the balance due before the wedding.
Frequently asked questions
Which countries do you travel to?
Anywhere. Most of my destination work is in Europe, with Italy, France, Ireland, Romania the most common, but I take commissions worldwide.
Is travel really included in the price?
Yes. Flights, accommodation, ground transport and insurance are covered within that figure for European destinations. Long-haul destinations are quoted individually so the total is still a single, complete number.
Do you bring a second photographer?
Yes, a second photographer is included as standard on the main wedding day.
How far in advance should we book?
Twelve to eighteen months for peak-season European dates. Because I take on a limited number of destination weddings each year, the best dates go early.
When will we receive our photographs?
Standard delivery is 8 to 12 weeks. A two-week expedited option is available.
Can you cover our welcome dinner and the day after?
Yes. The one-to-three-day structure exists for exactly that reason. Most destination couples use it across a welcome event, the wedding day, and a morning-after gathering.
